Roast Chicken

A Tom Douglas and Co.® Recipe

INGREDIENTS: 

DIRECTIONS: 

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F degrees.
  2. Season the chicken inside and out with ‘Rub with Love’ Chicken Rub and a little salt and pepper.  
  3. Take small tabs of butter and push it under the bird’s skin.
  4. Place the chicken breast-side up in a large roasting pan.
  5. Roast for 30 minutes, then baste bird with drippings from the pan.
  6. Check bird at another 20 minutes and baste again.
  7. Roast bird until internal temperature is 165°F.
  8. Rest bird for 5-10 minutes before serving.
