Teriyaki Chicken Wings Superbowl Edition /by Herschell Taghap, Social Internets
This is one of my “day off” snacks. There are no crazy knife cuts or intricate techniques involved, just a quick roast in the oven! It’s a simple combination of toasted nori, chili and sesame from Tom Douglas’ Rub with Love Spicy Tokyo Rub and a smooth sweetness from Rub with Love Triple Garlic Teriyaki sauce. The entire process takes a little under 30 minutes!
RUB WITH LOVE SPICY TOKYO WINGS WITH TRIPLE GARLIC TERIYAKI SAUCE
Left: Pat the Rub with Love Spicy Tokyo Rub all over the wings and let them rest 5 minutes. Right: We used about 4 tablespoons for two pounds of wings.
Left: Roast the chicken wings on a rack over a baking sheet until they’re cooked through, about 15 – 18 minutes in a 375 degree oven. Cut into one of the wings to make sure no pink remains near the bone. Right: This is what the wings look like after cooking.
Left: This is Tom’s Triple Garlic Teriyaki Sauce! It also comes in original Ginger Pineapple or Spicy Red Chili! Right: With tongs, pull the wings off the rack and place in a large bowl. Toss the wings with ¼ cup of the Triple Garlic Teriyaki Sauce. Arrange the wings back on the baking sheet and either cook under a broiler for 1 – 2 minutes or in a 500 degree oven, until the sugars have caramelized and become crispy.
Top with green onions and if you’re adventurous, toasted breadcrumbs or ramen noodles for crunch – Enjoy your Superbowl!
