Finding out that someone regularly cooks and loves a recipe from one of our Tom Douglas cookbooks is a sure thing to put a big smile on my face. So I was thrilled to find our Five Spice Chicken recipe from Big Dinners mentioned today in Nancy Leson’s post about her favorite all time chicken recipes. Hello Shelley, it has been a while since I last communicated with you. My women friends (our husbands only grill)
and I throw Tom Douglas dinner parties and receive raves from guests. (We live by his cook books.) You also helped my
daughter-in-law, Tara Voss who lives on Bainbridge Island, by encouraging Tom to donate to Senior Services’ annual ball in
Seattle. We thank-you for all that energy and also for providing us with the best restaurants in the world!
We are now looking for a Tom Douglas recipe for garlic mashed potatoes. The Dahlia presented a version, (I believe), that also
included herbs and were pan fried after being mashed. Can you help us?
Our next Tom Douglas adventure will be to join his summer camp. I am trying to persuade my friends–and hope to see
