Dahlia Bakery Happy Hour
All the Tom Douglas joints have a Happy Hour now, including Dahlia Bakery!!! The Bakery’s Happy Hour, 4 to 6pm, is a little out of the ordinary in that no alcohol will be served. However, Pastry Chef Garrett’s excellent homemade gingerale only costs one buck. Dahlia Bakery Happy Hour will be different each day, with different treats offered at a special price. Most days, Happy Hour treats will be available inside the Bakery, but on Fridays, Happy Hour will be celebrated right outside, weather permitting.
Today, Thursday October 1, is the exception because it’s the first ever Dahlia Bakery Happy Hour. Molly Melkonian, Dahlia Bakery manager, and Adrienne Lasko, Dahlia sous chef (photo right, Molly has a white flower barrette in her hair), are both outside today braving the blustery weather and offering coco pie bites (photo bottom), mini pear tarts, and doughnuts for just $1 each. Mini crab cakes cost just $2 each. That should make everyone happy!! Check out the Dahlia Bakery soon, between 4 and 6pm Monday through Saturday, to see what’s on offer that day for Happy Hour.
